Reviewing The Haldon Forest Diner

Good afternoon everyone and happy Sunday, I'm hope your all having a wonderful weekend.

Today I am going to be giving my honest review of somewhere I visited recently with some friends of mine for their regular breakfast club which I was very excited to asked to be a part of. The group takes it in turns picking somewhere different to go for breakfast instead of the usual big chain franchise that people seem to favor.

For my first breakfast club visit I was invited to The Haldon Forest Diner just outside of Exeter and this is my personal and honest review of my experience there.

Location - Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the main city, but still accessible via a main road.

Service - Upon entering the main dining room we were greeted by a friendly server who guided us to our table where our friends had arrived earlier and been seated.

Did all meals arrive together - All meals arrived promptly within minutes of each other.

Food Quality - Food was good quality and cooked freshly to order and arrived to the table hot. One mistake was made with a friends order but that was quickly rectified.

Cleanliness - General feel of the facility was clean and hygienic.

Parking - Ample parking within easy access of the building.

Facilities - Only three cubicles available and one of them was blocked, very cold, tired outdated decor but still clean and usable.

Menu Choice - Good, standard menu with a full breakfast, lunch and dinner options catering to different tastes and dietary requirements.

Ambience - Large open plan dining area with plenty of tables, but not so many that the space felt cramped, plenty or space for wheel chairs, push chairs and mobility scooters to maneuver, however the decor definitely needed modernizing.

Value for money - Generally very happy with the value for money, a large English breakfast with tea and toast costs just over £12, you can't really beat that.

Likelihood of returning - I would definitely return to this venue again if  I was in the area, fresh food cooked to order for a reasonable price is always a win for me

Final rating - ⭐⭐⭐
